The Global Trees Campaign (GTC) is a partnership between Fauna & Flora International (FFI) (FFI ICO Registration No. Z5599356) and Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI).
This website is compiled and updated by Fauna & Flora International (“we”, “us”, or “our”) as part of its work on The Global Trees Campaign (“The GTC”). The GTC currently comprises Fauna & Flora International and Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI).
Please read these terms and conditions (“terms”) carefully, particularly Clause 9. Anyone accessing this website (“you”) by doing so agrees to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms you should not access or view this website.

Any contractors, agents or representatives of Fauna & Flora International, any other members of The Global Trees Campaign or their contractors, agents or representatives, who are required to have access to information which you have given to us in the course of providing services to us or generally in the work of the GTC are required to keep that information confidential. General Data Protection Regulation Statement
We recognise that a crucial element of the trust we hope to earn from our supporters, members of the public, or any other individuals who engage with us, comes from being open, honest and lawful in the way that we process personal data. We will only store your information if we have a lawful basis for doing so.
Below you can learn more about the different types of personal data that GTC collects, how and why we process that data, and who you can contact if you have any questions about the data we hold or the ways in which we process it. GTC will never use anyone’s personal details in any way that they would not reasonably expect.
As a member of Global Tree Specialist Group
With your permission, we will share your details on the Global Tree Specialist Group section of the Global Trees Campaign Website: http://globaltrees.org/iucn-ssc-global-tree-specialist-group/specialist-group-members/ including but not limited to your name, organisation, job role, photograph and email. This data is used to communicate with the Global Tree Specialist group and for the Group to keep in contact.
If you choose to share your details with us, then it will also be stored on BGCI’s internal servers in the UK. By using this website, you therefore consent to the potential transfer of your data outside of your country of residence. You can request a copy of the data we hold in relation to you at any time. If your information changes or you think the information we have is incorrect, please let us know. We will make the necessary amendments to our records. If you wish to withdraw your consent for us to hold your contact details for this purpose, please e-mail us at tom.beesley@fauna-flora.org at any time. We will only keep your data for as long as is necessary. We will delete your information as soon as there is no longer any legitimate reason to retain it.
As a donor to the GTC programme
Unless you request otherwise, donations made on the GTC website will be shared between FFI and BGCI, the two lead partners of the GTC. Website donations will be processed by Fauna and Flora International (FFI) in line with FFI’s privacy statement, with 50% of each donation sent onto BGCI.
Donations made directly to either FFI or BGCI for each organisation’s work on the GTC will be processed in line with FFI and BGCI’s privacy statements.
